Sharing of personal data
In some cases, your personal data may be shared with other companies or organisations, as long as there is an actual need for such sharing.
The personal data may be shared with other companies in the E-THOR group if this is necessary to fulfil the purposes stated in this policy.
We use the following types of external suppliers:
- Service providers

Contact details and other relevant information we have registered about you will be handed over to the supplier if you order external services.

- Agencies, such as marketing agencies, statistical agencies, and analysis agencies
Your contact details and other relevant information we have registered about you may be handed over to these service providers. We use these types of service providers to provide you with relevant advertising, offers, content and recommendations and to carry out analyses to improve and further develop our services. In addition, we measure how we succeed in this, among other things, by conducting surveys.
Charging history at charging stations operated by E-THOR can be viewed by users with the owner role for the charging stations. These owners can view and export (download) usage data for their charging stations. Usage data may include personal data such as e-mail address, name, user ID and used charge cards. Owners can use usage data for invoicing, monitoring and statistical purposes, among other things. E-THOR requires owners to treat exported data with care and delete it when they no longer need it. E-THOR is not responsible for the owners’ use of this data. Contact the installation owner if you want information about how they use and process exported usage data.
Personal data may in special cases be disclosed to relevant public authority or other bodies where this is required by law.
Storage and deletion of personal data
E-THOR uses Microsoft Azure’s European data centres for all our services and for storage. All communication to and from Azure is encrypted.
Personal data is stored in Azure SQL until the account is deleted. Your charge history is permanently linked to your user account. If you change your personal data or ask to have your profile deleted, the changed data may be available in backup copies of the databases for the time we keep them, up to five weeks.
Charge point observations are permanently stored in Azure Table Storage.
Your e-mail address, IP address and other non-personal information are stored in log files on web servers. We use these logs to track errors, potential security threats and misuse. Logs can be stored for up to five weeks before being permanently deleted.
Your personal data related to purchases will, as a general rule, be deleted when there is no longer a need to store the information to answer your inquiries, if the complaint period for the product has expired, or unless we need the information for a longer period of time to fulfil other legitimate purposes such as contractual obligations or statutory obligations, for example in accordance with accounting legislation.
Personal data that we process on the basis of your consent is deleted if you withdraw your consent.
Instead of deleting the personal data, it may in some cases be relevant to anonymise the personal data. Anonymisation means that all identifying or potentially identifying characteristics are removed from data sets that are kept.
Your rights
You have the right to know what personal data E-THOR has about you, and to have access to it. You have the right to have incomplete, incorrect, unnecessary or outdated personal data rectified. You have the right to request that your personal data be deleted and to receive a copy of our data in a machine-readable format. You have the right to object to or restrict data processing in certain circumstances, such as when you believe that the data contains errors or the processing is illegal.
Contact us if you have any questions or want to exercise your rights as a data subject.
Complaints
You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you believe that we have breached privacy legislation, but we encourage you to contact us before submitting such a complaint.
You can find information on how to contact the Norwegian Data Protection Authority on the Norwegian Data Protection Authority’s website: www.datatilsynet.no.
Changes to this privacy policy
Periodically, we have to update this privacy policy to provide you with correct information about how we process personal data. If there are significant changes, we will inform you separately about this. You approve the new privacy policy by continuing to use E-THOR products and services.
Updated information is available on our website.
